Laura Wolfe

Hello, and thanks for stopping by! I live in Ann Arbor, MI, with my husband, son, and daughter. When I’m not writing or reading, you can find me growing vegetables in my garden, working on my tennis game, hiking through local nature areas, or doting on my rescue dog.

I hold a BA in English from the University of Michigan and a JD from DePaul University College of Law. After several years of following a winding career path in the legal and real estate fields, I found myself drawn back to one of my earliest passions... writing! My fascination with “things that go bump in the night” probably stems from watching too many scary movies when I was younger. Today, I have eight novels published by Bookouture, and I am grateful to be writing twisty psychological thrillers for a living!

Two of my career highlights came in 2024. First, THE IN-LAWS was nominated for an ITW Award, allowing me to travel to NYC and mingle with some of my favorite authors. A few months later, PROM QUEEN won a Silver Falchion Award (mainstream/commercial fiction) at Killer Nashville. What an honor! I still feel like I'm dreaming! Another goal has recently been realized as two of my novels are being translated and published in other languages. Look for THE IN-LAWS releasing in German in October 2025, and THE FOSTER DAUGHTER coming in Danish, Swedish, and Spanish sometime in the next year!

In other exciting news, I am now represented by literary agent, Danielle Egan-Miller of Browne & Miller Literary Associates. I can't wait to see what opportunities this alliance may bring.
